And I'm not, which is a problem...

So....

G'day.

Book Covers

You know what irks me?...

When on the covers of books, the author's name is larger than the title of the book, or comes before the title of the book.

I don't know why. It just find it really annoying and narcissistic. I get that the author wants to be adknowledeged for his/her work, but come on. I care more about the title of the book than who wrote it (unless Lemony Snicket wrote it, although that still doesn't make putting the author's name 12 times larger than the title ok...). Then again, usually other people create the covers for the book, not the author. Even so, every time I see a book with the author's name taking up half the cover, I immediately think of some extremly vain person, and refuse to even pick up the book.

This book (pictured above) is a perfect example of what I'm talking about...Not only does it look ugly, but it just screams "HEY Look At Meee!!! I'm SUCH A Freakin' Literary GENIUS!! Read This Book!!" Noooo. Just don't do it people! Just don't.

*PS. No offense to any fans of this book, or the author. I was simply using it as an example. I'm not judging a book by it's cover (I haven't even heard of this book). I'm just stating an opinion here.

So, yea...That was your Angry Book Nerd Rant of the day! Brought to you by: The Great Overlord Misstress Candeseamo!

(See what I did there? :D)

Yeah ...Ok, I'm done. G'day.

Candeseamo The Frazzled

Grr.... >:[

Not in a good mood right now. I am so sick and tired of living with such negative people and being everyone's emotional punching bag... It seems like every other minute someone has a freakin' problem over something. . . and for some reason the overall negativity of everyone seems to be magnified on sundays. I hate sundays.

And sunday is the day before monday (school). Its like there's no where to go. Either go to school and want to go home or be at home and wish I was somewhere else. Making summer the most bitter-sweet thing in the world.

sigh... -_-

Hope you have better sundays than I.
G'day.

Buzzz

Currently Listening to: B.Y.O.B By: System of a Down. Nice song, sounds good in it's own weird way...

Gah, I'm so sleepy! I was up till around 2 am watching "The Secret Life Of Bees". It was a really good movie, altough drepressing.

Hmm... I really don't have any to say at the moment. Just wanted to update, because if I don't then I probably never will. I have a tendency to put off things I want/need to do till I end up not doing it at all. Tis' a bad habit of mine...

Ooo! "Beyond The Horizon" By Bob Dylan just came on!! I lurves (yes, 'lureve') this song. I usally don't like country music (infact I hate country music), but this song is just so pretty.

Welps, guess I'm done with my incoherent ramblings. (Hey, I spelled incoherent right!! :D )

G'day.

Blah....

Ugh...Not feeling too good. My head feels like it's going to pop like a balloon. But, I'm listening to "Narcolepsy" by Ben Folds Five, so all is well... Just Kidding, I still feel like I'm going to throw up :D

...

Don't feel like writing much today. Maybe I'll write something else later. (Or maybe not)

This place has become confining somehow. I feel...restrained. And yet, I sense my destiny is at hand. Things are changing and a brilliant idea has come to me. I will leave this place." - "The Tick"

Worn-Out Jeans

A good friend is like your favorite pair of jeans. You know, the ones with the patched up holes from being worn too many times. But you still love them because they fit so nicely and they're old and reliable. Or at lest thats how I imagine a good friend is. I've never really had a "best friend" or really any friends at all. The people I consider friends now are really just the people I hang out with at lunch. I used to have a friend whom, I considered somewhat close, but she moved to Kansas (recently she moved back to Texas, but father north from me). We would still talk through e-mail & IM, and once she visited. We went to go see "Iron Man" (good movie might I add). She had changed quite a lot, but not really. It was like she was still the friend I remembered, but somehow diffrent. When we went to the movies I wore the shirt she bought me for christmas. I pointed to my shirt and the conversation went as followed:

Her: "oh, nice shirt."
Me (shocked) :"This is the shirt you bought me!"
Her: "oh, I did??"
Me: "For christmas, remember??"
Her: "oh..."

I gotta say, it kinda hurt that she didn't remember. I was going to ask about my bracelet that I gave her before she moved away(that she was not wearing), but I decided not too. I don't think I wanted to know the answer (ie: "What bracelet??") .

We've kinda lost contact... Haven't e-mailed each other in while (maybe she forgot).

Anywhose, I'm about to go eat a really, really late breakfast. G'day....
